The Attorney General Amos Wako has announced that he will publish the Draft Constitution on the 6th of May 2010.

The AG received the Proposed New Constitution on the 7th April 2010 but has been withholding publication for voter registration to go on. The Interim Independent Electoral commission (IIEC) has 5 days left before closing the voter registration exercise.

He said the publication will be made in English then translated to Swahili.

After the publication

The IIEC will have 90 days to announce the date of the referendum

The Committee of Experts will have 30 days to conduct Civic Education ahead of the referendum
